Heath’s 2026 NFL Draft Fantasy Takeaways

Ryan Heath breaks down the fantasy football landing spots and his dynasty fantasy football rankings from the 2026 NFL Draft.

Jadarian Price

Saints WR Jordyn Tyson got the best landing spot of any WR in the draft. While this might be a controversial take from Heath, he points out that the Saints are one of the league’s few offenses we can confidently project for heavy play and pass volume:

For perspective, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed respectively averaged 17.6 and 13.4 XFP/G while both were on the team over the first nine weeks of 2025; both marks would have ranked top-24 among WRs over the full season. And with Olave’s contract due up after 2026, trade scenarios down the road for the veteran aren’t totally out of the question.

Jadarian Price’s best-case scenario came to fruition. The former Notre Dame RB was taken 32nd overall by Seattle, giving him a clear early-season runway for early-down lead duties (Zach Charbonnet tore his ACL on January 17 of this year, putting his return in mid-October at best based on a typical 9-month timeline).

However, Heath cautions fantasy managers to temper expectations — while Kenneth Walker is a valid comp for Price (explosive runner with limited pass-catching chops), he only exceeded 14.0 FPG (or XFP/G) in one of his four seasons in Seattle, and this regime just sidelined him into a 50/50 committee with Charbonnet getting nearly all the high-value work at the goal line last year. The range of outcomes is vast.

2026 NFL Draft Market Report: Veterans

Tom Brolley breaks down the biggest veteran winners and losers for fantasy football from the 2026 NFL Draft.

DeVonta Smith

The Titans are determined to give Cam Ward the best chance at success. They started off by giving Wan’Dale Robinson $38 million guaranteed in free agency, then added Carnell Tate at 4th overall in the draft. Brett Whitefield ranked Tate directly between A.J. Brown and CeeDee Lamb as a top-10 WR evaluation in his decade of scouting college prospects, so it’s safe to say the 2nd-year QB finally has some weapons.

The Eagles are SO trading A.J. Brown after drafting Makai Lemon 20th overall. And who will benefit the most from these moves? DeVonta Smith. Smith will be the clear top option for the first time in his career, and he’ll be asked to play more on the perimeter with Lemon operating as the primary slot WR — which is a good thing with Jalen Hurts at QB. Smith ran 58% of his routes from the slot last season, and Hurts ranked 35th out of 36 QBs on the rate of throws over the middle of the field at 16.3%. Smith averaged 6.7/79.7 receiving and 9.7 targets per game for 16.6 FPG in three non-Week 18 contests without Brown the last two seasons, so we should see much more of that in 2026.

Miami is doing Malik Willis no favors. Greg Dulcich, Jalen Tolbert, and Malik Washington entered the draft at the top of the team’s receiver depth chart and will remain there after the draft. The Dolphins reached for Dane Brugler’s WR31 Caleb Douglas in the 3rd round, then later selected Louisville’s Chris Bell, who is recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in late November. Willis’ rushing ability offers league-winning upside, but the lack of offensive talent around him gives him an ugly floor, as well.

Rookie Mock Draft

Ryan Heath, Jakob Sanderson, Lucas Gilbert and Thomas Tipple conduct the Fantasy Football industry’s FIRST Rookie Mock Draft.

With Day 3 of the NFL Draft still rolling on, Heath, Sanderson, Gilbert and Tipple decided to pump out the fantasy football industry’s FIRST rookie mock draft. There were some clear post-draft risers (Tyson) and fallers (Lemon) early on, as well as some chaos further down the road when Day 3 picks like new Commanders RB Kaytron Allen found some valuable landing spots.

While it may not be the most coherent draft board you'll ever see, it is the first!🔥
