The Everything Report Week 12

Scott Barrett reviews all the fantasy football usage from 2025 NFL Week 11, with everything you need to know for Week 12.

What happens to the Falcons now? Multiple top 4 producers at their respective positions just lost their QB. Michael Penix’s season-ending injury forces Atlanta back toward a more conservative Cousins-led offense, which dramatically lowers the ceiling for the entire roster. Once healthy, London likely drops from an elite WR1 pace to more of a borderline WR1, as Atlanta had only opened up the passing game with Penix. Bijan Robinson loses the elite receiving volume (and red-zone chances) that fueled his top-5 production, pushing him closer to a fringe RB1 with a lower floor.

Kyle Pitts should see steadier usage with Cousins, especially while London is out, giving him short-term TE1 value before settling in as a mid-range option once the lineup is intact. Darnell Mooney has seen increased volume and could be a fringe FLEX, but overall scoring and playcalling should decline across the board. This is a colossal shift in the fantasy football landscape.

Is J.J. McCarthy terrible? McCarthy’s efficiency has been historically poor (3.39 ANY/A), placing him in a group with some of the worst early-career QBs since 2010. He ranks last in highly accurate throw rate, though Week 11 showed slight improvement, and he has recently taken far fewer sacks under pressure. Drops haven’t helped - his receivers are losing 30.4 yards per game, the most in the league.

Even so, many of his throws remain off-target, and the odds are high that he’s simply not good right now. He may still produce usable fantasy weeks in soft upcoming matchups, but Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison have both suffered significant efficiency declines with him under center.

It’s time to add Luther Burden. Luther Burden is finally Chicago’s primary slot WR, taking over from Olamide Zaccheaus with a season-high 61.1% route share in Week 11. The ā€œBen Johnson Slot WRā€ role is part-time, and the offense is middle-of-the-pack in passing yards and heavily distributes targets, limiting upside - but Burden’s talent and fit in the system are promising. He showed efficiency with a 2.44 YPRR, ranking 9th of 123 qualifying WRs in a small sample, and finished Week 11 just one target shy of the team lead, hinting at his growing role. This makes him a worthwhile add for fantasy teams.

Week 12 Starts/Sits

Graham Barfield lists the stats you need to help make your toughest lineup decisions for Week 12.

Start Aaron Jones. Jones has taken over the Vikings’ backfield with 67%+ snaps in two straight games and all the passing-down work, giving him a strong, stable role. Mason’s usage has collapsed, and Green Bay’s run defense has recently allowed big rushing totals.

Start Juwan Johnson. Johnson surged before the bye with 17/255/2 on 23 targets (13.6 PPR FPG), and targets should stay concentrated on him and Olave. With a thin TE slate outside the top names, he still lands in the TE6–10 range despite the tougher matchup.

Start Michael Wilson. Wilson looked like an underrated WR3/FLEX last week, but few expected a 15/185 explosion. With Brissett elevating the passing game, Wilson profiles as a high-upside WR2 here. Jacksonville is also allowing the fourth-most yards per game to outside receivers (128.8).

Sit Tyrone Tracy. Without Skattebo, the Giants have used a two-man backfield: Tracy in passing situations and Singletary dominating red-zone work, including all 18 snaps inside the 10 since Week 9. Detroit’s strong run defense limits upside, leaving Tracy as a low-value FLEX.

Sit Ricky Pearsall. Pearsall still isn’t earning enough volume to trust in lineups. Even though he matched Jennings in routes last week (78%), he saw only three targets, and he’s reached a 16% target share in just 3 of 11 games alongside Jennings and Kittle. Until he consistently commands looks, he’s too risky to start.

Sit Tre Tucker. Tucker was viewed as a WR3/FLEX last week against Dallas, and he delivered a solid 4/47/1 performance. Still, he has earned just 11% and 19% of the targets in two games without Jakobi Meyers.

Jacksonville Jaguars (20%) @ ARI. Jacksonville sets up well here, with the league’s best run defense likely shutting down an Arizona offense that already struggles on the ground and forcing Brissett into another high-volume, high-risk dropback game. The Jaguars generate top-6 pressure, and Brissett’s limited mobility makes him vulnerable behind a line that shouldn’t repeat last week’s fluke of allowing zero sacks, per Drake’s Week 12 Streaming D/STs.

DeVonta Smith smash spot. Dallas is back to heavy zone coverage, which neutralizes A.J. Brown but boosts DeVonta Smith, who averages 2.39 YPRR against zone (+40%) and leads the team in deep targets and separation on vertical routes. The Cowboys also give up the most deep receiving yards per game, where Smith excels downfield. With a high total (47.5) and the Eagles historically leaning on Smith in competitive, high-scoring games, he profiles as their best path to production this week, per Heath’s Week 12 Advanced Matchups.

All Systems Go! Bears WRs Rome Odunze and Luther Burden vs Steelers DBs. Odunze and Burden both set up well this week against a Steelers defense that has allowed the most fantasy points and over 1,000 yards to WRs over the last five games. Odunze is the top target, while Burden’s heavy slot usage matches perfectly with Pittsburgh’s weakness against short-area WR targets, per Dolan’s Week 12 WR/CB Fantasy Matchups.

Trends & Trades

Players to trade/trade for, risers & fallers & more

Alvin Kamara // Tony Gutierrez, AP

Buy Alvin Kamara. He looked sharp in his last outing and now gets one of the most fantasy-friendly schedules down the stretch (ATL, MIA, TB, CAR, NYJ, TEN). Several of these defenses are struggling, and Kellen Moore appears committed to featuring Kamara as a true centerpiece of the offense. With his workload trending up and a soft slate ahead, Kamara is positioned for a high-volume, high-upside finish, per Hansen’s Week 12 Players to Trade/Trade For.

Sell Michael Pittman. His grip on the Colts’ WR1 role is slipping with Alec Pierce surging. Pittman’s remaining schedule is also tough, with upcoming matchups against KC, HOU, JAX, and SEA - all of which rank as middling or below-average in fantasy points allowed to WRs. With declining opportunity and a difficult slate ahead, Pittman’s value is more likely to drop than rise, per Hansen’s Week 12 Players to Trade/Trade For.

Should you really flip Puka? It’s now a problem…Puka Nacua’s route share is capped thanks to Sean McVay’s increased deployment of 3 TE sets. Yes, Nacua has failed to record a route share over 70% in the last 3 weeks, and hasn’t been on the field for a single 3 TE set. Yet, in Week 11, Nacua earned a team-high 28.6% target share and 37.5% first-read target share, while recording 57.7% of the team’s total receiving yards, per Menton’s Trading Guide: Week 12.

Outlook: Shop around if you are in desperate need of depth or can flip him (plus something else most likely) for a top-tier league-winner (Example: Jonathan Taylor, Christian McCaffrey, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, De’Von Achane, or Trey McBride)
