The Everything Report Week 14

Scott Barrett reviews all the fantasy football usage from 2025 NFL Week 13, with everything you need to know for Week 14.

Is Scary Terry a sneaky league-winner? Terry McLaurin’s Sunday night eruption (7/96/1 on 14 targets and 180 air yards) was one of the most encouraging signs we’ve seen all season, especially since 5 of those targets came in the red zone and his 36.3 XFP was the third-highest single-game mark by any player this year. He did this while being shadowed by Patrick Surtain on 78% of his routes and while on a snap count, yet still earned a target on nearly half his routes and posted 3.00 YPRR.

In Marcus Mariota’s starts, McLaurin has now averaged an absurd 3.80 YPRR and a 0.37 TPRR - elite numbers in any sample. It’s a small sample, but a highly encouraging one, making McLaurin a low-end WR2 with legitimate upside for the fantasy playoffs…and now JD is back.

Is Trey McBride the most valuable non-RB in fantasy? Trey McBride has a legitimate case as the most valuable non-RB in fantasy, producing at a level that would still make him elite even if he were classified as a WR. Since Week 7, he leads all wide receivers in FPG at 23.4 - outscoring stars like JSN, Chase, Nacua, and Jefferson by wide margins.

The drop-off at tight end makes his dominance even more impactful, with only Bowers and Kraft clearing 13.6 FPG this season. With a best-possible Week 17 matchup ahead, McBride looks like the 2025 player you simply couldn’t win your league without.

Is Bucky Irving fully back? Bucky Irving’s Week 13 usage was a major win in a slate where most backfields shifted into ugly committees, as he still saw 19 touches and 15.4 XFP despite being on a snap count in his first game back. He handled both inside-the-10 carries, had a TD called back, and looked fully healthy while forcing seven missed tackles - second-most on the week.

With Tampa Bay fighting for the division and a favorable schedule ahead, Irving should quickly return to his pre-injury workload. That makes him an easy top-10 RB for the rest of the season, with clear upside given his early-season 18.3 FPG pace.

Week 14 Starts/Sits

Graham Barfield lists the stats you need to help make your toughest lineup decisions for Week 14.

Start Jakobi Meyers. He continues to prove himself as the Jaguars best WR, and he has great chemistry with Trevor Lawrence - connecting on 18-of-21 targets for 245 yards and 2 TDs over the last month. Meyers has earned 27%, 20%, and 22% of the Jaguars targets in his last three games.

Start Chris Olave. In Tyler Shough’s five starts, Olave has turned his 44 targets into 29/341/2 receiving (15.0 PPR FPG). Tampa Bay’s secondary has been shredded for a league-high 39.5 PPR FPG by wideouts over the last five weeks. Boom week coming.

Start DJ Moore and Luther Burden. Chicago’s target share has been very flat over the last three weeks, with Odunze (20%), Burden (16%), Loveland (15%), and Moore (14%) all between 14-20%. Rome Odunze (foot) is set to miss time, elevating Moore and Burden as WR3 options this week. Green Bay allows the 10th-most yards per game to outside wide receivers.

Sit DK Metcalf. Has been a shell of himself over his last seven games, turning his 44 targets into just 26/249/1 receiving. Metcalf and Zay Flowers have been similar in that they continue to disappoint as WR3-4 options despite decent target shares. Metcalf has earned at least 21% of the Steelers' targets in four straight games.

Sit Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant. The rookie Bryant has started to trend up as of late and he just ran slightly more routes (73% share) than Franklin (69%) in Week 13. Bryant has quietly earned 16% of the Broncos targets in back-to-back games. Franklin’s rest of season outlook is by no means dead, but this has quickly gone from being an offense predicated on two targets (Sutton and Franklin) to four with Bryant and Evan Engram seeing more targets.

Sit Kareen Hunt and Isiah Pacheco. We’ll see Pacheco return to the field after he’s missed the Chiefs last four games with a knee injury. This will go back to some version of the same ugly split we saw in Weeks 1-8. Pacheco led Hunt in snaps (57% to 34%) while Hunt was the goal-line RB. Hunt has a team-high eight carries inside-the-10 in 8 games with Pacheco (4 carries inside-the-10).

Washington Commanders (5%) @ MIN. This is a sneaky good streaming spot, as McCarthy has taken sacks on 24.4% of his dropbacks - third-worst in the NFL - which sets up plenty of sack and turnover upside. Washington isn’t great, but Dan Quinn has them playing hard, and the Vikings’ injury issues and shaky quarterback play make it hard to see how Minnesota scores, per Drake’s Week 14 Streaming D/STs.

Tyler Shough spike week for the Saints? Tampa Bay is a clear pass funnel, allowing top-three PROE and giving up major schedule-adjusted production to QBs and WRs over the last five weeks. Their aggressive blitz tendencies (4th-highest rate) actually benefit this Saints offense, as Tyler Shough becomes more aggressive downfield and Chris Olave sees a massive YPRR boost versus the blitz.

Olave provides the explosive upside, while Juwan Johnson offers strong underneath PPR value against a defense that funnels targets short and has allowed the 5th-most receiving yards on throws under 10 yards. Together, they form a high-upside stacking combo in one of the best matchups the Saints will see all year, per Heath’s Week 14 Advanced Matchups.

All Systems Go! Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba vs Falcons DBs. JSN is an easy start this week because last game was an outlier compared to the elite consistency he’s shown all season, and Seattle has every reason to get him rolling again as he chases history. He now walks into a dream matchup against a Falcons defense giving up top-five production to perimeter WRs over the last five weeks…a big rebound performance is coming, per Dolan’s Week 14 WR/CB Fantasy Matchups.

Trends & Trades

Players to trade/trade for, risers & fallers & more

Lamar Jackson // Nick Wass, AP Photo

If your trade deadline hasn’t passed yet, here are some options moving towards the playoffs:

Buy Aaron Jones. His backfield mate Jordan Mason may steal the show if Jones gets dinged up yet again, but he’s expected to be fine for Week 14, and they do have two elite matchups on the ground the next three weeks vs. Was (32.0) this week and at NYG (38.1) in Week 16 with the Cowboys in between, per Hansen’s Week 14 Players to Trade/Trade For.

Sell Stefon Diggs. Looking for big production within the Patriots receiving corps is like trying to find a needle in a haystack, and their next three matchups look bleak for passing production, especially since vs. Buf, at Bal, at NYJ could all be bad weather games, per Hansen’s Week 14 Players to Trade/Trade For.

Target Lamar Jackson before the playoffs. Jackson’s recent slump - driven by lingering hamstring and toe issues- has cratered his production, making him more attainable in trades than at any other point this season. Despite posting one of the worst month-long stretches of his career, he now gets the second-easiest fantasy playoff schedule among all QBs, giving you a prime buy-low window before his health and numbers rebound if you need a QB, per Menton’s Trading Guide: Week 14.

  • Week 15 - Cincinnati Bengals (allowing 21.1 FPG to opposing QBs)

  • Week 16 - New England Patriots (allowing 18.1 FPG to opposing QBs)

  • Week 17 - Green Bay Packers (allowing 10.6 FPG to opposing QBs)
