Happy Tuesday! We’re adding a second edition of The Roundup to your week…you’re welcome.

Every Tuesday, we’ll break down the aftermath of the weekend. What we learned, the waiver moves worth making, the injuries that matter, and where our team’s thinking has changed. Then Saturday, we’ll be back with everything you need for Sunday, as usual.

And honestly, the timing couldn’t be better. The first bye weeks are here (Chiefs, Panthers), the injury list is getting ugly, and the waiver wire might have some gems and worthy dart throws.

And don’t forget: the Buccaneers visit the Cowboys on Thursday night. Keep an eye on our articles and podcasts throughout the week for everything you need heading into TNF.

Let’s do it.

🧠 What We Learned

Scott Barrett and Ryan Heath break down the biggest takeaways from Week 4 - the breakouts, usage shifts, and changing beliefs that matter moving forward.

🐆 Bhayshul Tuten’s Breakout Is Coming

Don’t let the box score fool you - Week 4 was another major step forward for Bhayshul Tuten. He set career highs in carry share (74%) and snap share (57%), climbing the usage ranks week after week. This game was a massive ‘what if’ for Tuten - because if it weren’t for a couple of penalties, he could have had a MONSTER day…he had two touchdowns erased by holding penalties, including one at the goal line.

The Jaguars keep giving Tuten more work, and he keeps delivering…the stock is way up. Ryan Heath views him as a mid-range RB2 right now, with room for the role to grow even further as the season progresses. If someone in your league only saw the final fantasy score, the underlying usage tells a much different - and much more exciting - story. Maybe see if you can get a trade to shake.

🧀 Tucker Kraft Is Officially Back

He’s back…the Tucker Kraft breakout we’ve been waiting for finally arrived. Coming off last year’s ACL tear, Green Bay had been gradually ramping up his workload - and Week 4 looked like he finally got the green light, and the training wheels are off. Kraft tied for the team lead with a 23% target share, played more snaps than Christian Watson, and even ran a couple more routes than him.

Kraft also unfortunately dropped a wide-open end-zone target that would have pushed him to 23.8 fantasy points…but more importantly, the Packers still look like an offense that will need to lean on the passing game, giving Kraft a much stronger volume outlook than he had early in the season. The slow start increasingly looks like exactly that: a slow return from the ACL, not a role problem. Wheels up.

🎯 Keep Streaming TEs Against Cincinnati

At this point, starting tight ends against the Bengals should be a weekly rule. Cincinnati was historically bad against the position last season, and Ryan Heath sees no reason to believe that has changed. Over the past five years, the Bengals have routinely been 15–20% worse than the next-worst defense against TEs by target share and schedule-adjusted production.

The results are already following in 2026: Brenton Strange and Dalton Schultz have smashed against them, with Schultz going for 140 yards, while even Cade Otton and Pittsburgh’s tight ends found success. Ryan’s takeaway was simple: play tight ends against Cincinnati in season-long and attack the matchup in DFS until they give us a reason not to.

💰 Waiver Wire Report

Our team ranks the Week 5 waiver wire from S-tier priorities to names you can leave for your league-mates - and determines how much of your FAAB to spend.

🔥 THE PRIORITY ADDS

Emanuel Wilson, RB - S Tier

If Wilson is still available, don’t overthink it. He’s looked good as a runner, receiver, and pass protector, and there’s little reason to believe Seattle simply puts him back on the bench when the backfield gets healthier.

  • Week 4: 21 carries, 81 yards, TD + 3 catches, 39 yards, TD

  • The Take: One of the easiest priority adds of the week.

Will Shipley, RB - S or A Tier

The post-recording injury news changes everything. Saquon Barkley is expected to miss 2-3 weeks, while Tank Bigsby will miss at least six weeks following sports hernia surgery.

  • The Upside: Shipley could approach bellcow usage with significant receiving work.

  • The Take: S Tier if you need an immediate starter; A Tier if he’d be a stash.

Tyreek Hill, WR - S Tier

Yes, seriously. His health, landing spot, and eventual role are all massive unknowns - but no other widely available WR offers anything close to the same best-case scenario.

  • The Take: This is a ceiling bet. Stash the potentially league-winning outcome now and figure out the rest later.

T.J. Hockenson, TE - A Tier

At just 29% rostered, Hockenson is simply too available. He looks much better than he did last season, and even with Justin Jefferson eventually threatening his target share, reliable TE production is too scarce to ignore.

  • The Take: If Hockenson is sitting there, add him.

👀 THE NEXT WAVE

  • Jacoby Brissett, QB - A Tier: The top Week 5 streamer. Every QB Detroit has faced has finished top-six at the position, while Brissett has a QB1 finish in 12 of his last 16 games.

  • Romeo Doubs, WR - A Tier: The underlying play was already strong before his 6/58/2 breakout. There’s a real opportunity for him to emerge as one of Drake Maye’s primary targets.

  • Keaton Mitchell, RB - B Tier: The backfield is messy, but 15 touches and receiving involvement are enough to make the gamble worthwhile.

  • Adonai Mitchell, WR - B Tier: Before getting hurt, Mitchell had more targets and air yards than Garrett Wilson. He could return this week and still offers plenty of long-term upside.

  • Mike Gesicki, TE - C Tier: Cincinnati’s injuries give him real short-term streaming appeal. Gesicki has historically seen his targets spike when Tee Higgins is unavailable and could once again function as a big slot receiver while the Bengals are shorthanded.

🚫 FOOL’S GOLD

Not every interesting box score deserves a waiver claim.

  • Kirk Cousins, QB: Don’t chase three straight 21-point games into a matchup with New England.

  • Jordyn Tyson, WR: Interesting talent, but he’s still several weeks away from even practicing.

  • Cyrus Allen, WR: Intriguing upside, but he ran just two routes last week. Watch list, not waiver priority.

  • Oronde Gadsden II, TE: Seven targets turned into two catches for 12 yards. Brett’s verdict? “He’s a scam. Don’t pick him up.”

💸 HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU BID?

So, how aggressive should you actually get? Here’s where our team has the top Week 5 waiver targets priced:

  • Will Shipley - 12-15% FAAB

  • Khalil Shakir - 3-5%

  • Keon Coleman - 2-4%

  • Tyreek Hill - 1-3%

  • T.J. Hockenson - 1-2%

  • Mike Gesicki - 1-2%

  • Jacoby Brissett - 1%

The message is pretty clear: Shipley is the one player worth getting aggressive for. Everything else is a much cheaper swing.

🔄 Beliefs Changed

Week 4 forced Scott Barrett and Ryan Heath to reconsider a few takes they entered the weekend believing. Here are the biggest changes:

Kyren Williams // Eric Hartline, Imagn Images

📈 Kyren Williams - Back in the RB1 Conversation

It’s time to reconsider Kyren Williams’ ceiling. His receiving usage had fallen off in recent seasons, but Week 4 brought a career-high target share and route involvement reminiscent of 2023, when he finished as the RB2 overall. He’s now topped 80 rushing yards in three straight games and 65 receiving yards in back-to-back weeks.

Ryan now views Williams as closer to a top-8 RB, pushing toward the James Cook and Ashton Jeanty range. The receiving explosion may not fully stick, but his rest-of-season outlook is considerably better than it looked entering the year.

📉 Bucky Irving - No Longer a Buy-Low

Ryan had been calling Bucky Irving a buy-low throughout the season. Not anymore. After dominating Tampa Bay’s red-zone work and commanding a 15% target share through three weeks, Irving went without a target in Week 4, while Sean Tucker handled the only goal-line carry and 60% of the red-zone carries. Kenneth Gainwell even out-targeted him.

Some receiving work should return with Baker Mayfield, but Tucker stealing high-value touches is much harder to ignore. The buy-low case has taken a serious hit.

⚠️ Jeremiyah Love - Maybe Not a Bellcow Just Yet

Week 3 made it look like Jeremiyah Love had arrived as a near-bellcow, commanding a 75% opportunity share while losing only the third-down and two-minute work. Week 4 threw some cold water on that: Tyler Allgeier played slightly more snaps, ran more routes, and handled Arizona’s only carry inside the 10.

The expectation is still for Love to lead this backfield in carries, so this isn’t a panic button. But after last week’s workload suggested an elite role was arriving immediately, Week 4 showed that Allgeier may remain more involved than hoped.

Injury Fallout

Jeff Mueller breaks down every notable situation in this week’s Injury Report, but these are the ones with the biggest fantasy fallout heading into Week 5.

Lamar Jackson // Getty

  • Lamar Jackson, QB - Ankle. A suspected high-ankle sprain puts Week 5 in serious doubt, with an MRI set to determine the severity.

    • Fallout: Lamar managers should have a backup plan ready - Jacoby Brissett is our favorite Week 5 streamer.

    • Projected Return: Week 6-7

  • Saquon Barkley, RB - Hamstring. Plan to be without Barkley for Week 5 and potentially Week 6 after suffering a right hamstring strain.

    • Fallout: Will Shipley now has a path to a massive short-term workload and becomes one of the week’s priority waiver adds.

    • Projected Return: Week 6-7

  • Ja’Marr Chase + Tee Higgins, WR - Concussion / Groin. Chase has a chance to clear concussion protocol for Week 5, while Higgins’ groin strain typically carries a 1-2 game absence.

    • Fallout: If either - or both - miss, Mike Gesicki gets a major boost in a depleted Cincinnati receiving corps.

    • Projected Return: Chase: Week 5-6 | Higgins: Week 6-7

  • Rashee Rice, WR - Hamstring. Rice is expected to miss time after injuring the same side that required arthroscopic surgery this offseason.

    • Fallout: Kansas City’s WR room is suddenly extremely thin after also losing Tyquan Thornton for the season.

    • Projected Return: Week 7-8

  • DJ Moore, WR - Shoulder. Moore reinjured his left AC joint and is likely to miss time, with Buffalo’s Week 7 bye creating a natural return point.

    • Fallout: Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman should see increased opportunity and are both among our top waiver targets.

    • Projected Return: Week 6 or 8

Best of luck out there…hope the waiver wire treats you well.

See you this weekend 🤝
